Established in 2021, the Canadian Government made a significant investment of over $27 billion towards the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system¹, which supports quality, accessibility, affordability, and inclusivity in licensed childcare.
As part of the CWELCC Agreement, Nova Scotia will have 9,600 new childcare spaces by March 2026, with the government investing $19.8 million to achieve this goal.
