Helping you kickstart your Canadian career
A special message from Sharon Curl – President of North America, Oxford International Education Group
Dear students,
I founded our first Canadian English language school in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1990. Our school in Toronto, Ontario followed in 2002. And now, as part of Oxford International Education Group, we also have an English language school in Halifax, (in addition to our institutions in the USA, UK and Australia). Further, we have two very successful Career Colleges in Halifax and Vancouver offering programs in Health Care, Hospitality and Business.
1990 seems a very long time ago now and as we all know, the world and how we conduct business has drastically changed since then. However, one thing that hasn’t changed is the importance of career planning and making informed choices. When I finished my education at The University of British Columbia, I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur and to work in the field of International Education. It took many years of hard work, long hours, frugal expense management and navigating challenging times, but I can truly say there is nothing I regret. I am very proud of our schools, our programs and our wonderful staff who take care of our students.
As the brilliant Alexander Graham Bell said, ‘”Before anything else, preparation is the key to success.” Please invest time in developing your career plan – it is truly your blueprint for success! It is our privilege to be with you every step of the way as you embark on this most exciting journey.
